Amazing Race

Yup, Sab, Jolene and I went for this race called Island Rush which is exactly like the amazing race except that it's only 1 day and no cash was provided!
It was supposed to be a get together with some of our KC pals whom we havent met up for v long buttttt in the end, everyone else just backed out cuz either weekend job, last min stuff and all! Tsk tsk! Anyway SuWern helped us find 3 other great grp members! There were 36 groups taking part and all of them were like only in sec skool..so young! We were like the oldest group around!

Anyway started out on a lousy note...gave us this pic and motto of a state and asked us to guess city and state! bluddy difficult! Called like everyone we knew and finally called Dhana and found part of the answer! Den Bob provided the name of city since he was a soccer fan and country was Spain!
Bla... Anyway next clue was pasir ris park and we spent the longest time there cuz the station peeps think that we dunno how to count simple creatures...so irritating! We spent like at least 20 min gg thru the maze over and over just to count creepy crawlies! Anyway at the end of the day, the haughty station master who din want to admit her mistake even as her fellow peers admited theirs, gort her retribution. Bird shit. Heh.

After searching for mazes and pulling sacks in pasir ris, we had to head down to where but Woodlands!!! Took bus 168 from Tampines cuz it's like so much shorter than the mrt line. Tot it will help us gain an edge over the rest cuz we were sure the rest would take the mrt but... NOPE...those other groups took taxi everywhere they went even within woodlands itself! Such cheats...But I guess we had much more fun figuring out shortest way by bus and mrt!
At woodlands, one member was supposed to search for this small black pea outta millions of the yellow ones..Exactly like amazing race! Den it was Jega...

Anyway next stop was Red Hill.... All the stations were super far away from each other! Arranged weird marbles and memorise symbols and numbers.
Overall, we definitely finished the tasks much faster than about every group with us except for the maze one (which was cuz of the counting nonsense) but cuz we din cab around except for one ride, we lagged behind! So unfair...
Really wonder how much the winners spent on cabbing! Cuz they cabbed everywhere! Think the cash prize of 70 bucks each was just slightly more than enuff for paying the cab fees! For 1 taxi ride with 2 cabs cuz of a group of 6 peeps, we alr spent 30 bucks alt! And all of them are so young...!

Yup and the result was..... we gort last! It was quite funny cuz when we came back, we saw food outside the audi where we were to gather, so we decided to eat 1st b4 gg inside since we couldnt have won. After having our fill since we din eat the entire day, we rested a while before gg in and we had like a damn grand entrance with everyone clapping and cheering! Everyone was kinda just waiting for us to come back so that they could go home! HA... and we, not knowing that we were last, were thinkin of not gg back and gg off to eat more! ;p

Despite getting last, it was damn fun with all that running and competition. And we really ran like hell, outrunning those other groups. The race was hell of a great experience!
