A couple of days ago, I forgot that I've turned the big 23 already and told this sales lady that I'm 22 when she asked me for my age.. It's frightening how age catches up so fast..
Jus not long ago (maybe quite... long...), there was sweet 16,
den it was 17 and you're sorta eligible to read seventeen mag at last,
and 18 where your world is shining brightly for you,
den 19 where you're overaged for seventeen mag (full stop),
and 20 where you can no longer be that rebellous teenager,
and 21 where your world is just beginning and you can officially do whatever you want legally,
then 22 where you are still exploring that newfound freedom and.. and.. and..
AND THEN 23 strikes you like a lightning bolt from nowhere and it's like... you're way way adult already...
No more relying on parents for anything especially S11 ($) >> A teenage boy taught me this lingo;)
For girls especially, all that talk about havin to find your other halves before you're 30 will begin to amplify with each coming year.
All that talk about working, getting married, giving birth and starting a family becomes more prominent in conversations with friends..=p

I suppose to have a couple of fantabulous friends still makin that effort to surprise you every freakin single year, a sweet loving time spent with that special one, and the familiar warm celebration at home with the family who knows you best, coupled with the well wishes of long lost friends who still remember your special day, 23 may not be sucha bad idea...
